great use of text and meanings, questions of just what it is to be anything in the eyes of another, the sense of inability to be while being able to understand that you are. great work.
This was really good. The ending definitely recontextualizes the name of the game, staring at the pile of slime on the title screen after the final words...was a bit sad...
I also thought the text effects were really cool and added a lot!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CHECKING IT OUT... I had a bunch of like weirdly conflicting metaphorical thoughts and ideas going through my head as I wrote it, and it being linked with these symbols of like... a slime itself allowed for really fascinating visualization of it I think. The text effect was actually a total accident because of a Ren'py bug, but when I tried it out I thought it fit this theme of something flowing and falling apart so well that I think it REALLY made everything work... I'm really happy with how I managed to make it. Thanks for reading!!!
An excellent visual novel that makes me reconsider the existence of slimes in any rpg or action scenario!! Just how much agency does a slime have, and what type of being is it? What obligation does its creator have to it? Your use of pauses and multiple lines of text going off at any given time really captures the repetition and futility that makes up the life of a slime. Also, great visuals!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed!!! Slimes are always trying to exist, but what even are they? It's so strange... I'm glad you enjoyed my use of pauses, it's some of my favorite work with VNs to work on them... And I'm glad you liked the art, I want to do more sketchy work in the future maybe!
